Javascript, CSS, HTML, & Design
Winter 2017. In this final project our team designed an immersive virtual experience for our entire class to experience and participate in. We used the platform of Second Life to create our virtual experience that required that our classmates create an avatar to participate in our world that consisted of spooky elements to create a Halloween-themed town. Our story line immersed our users into a world of bringing a fictional character named Gayle back to life from the underworld.
Over an allotted time of 30 minutes, we gave a tour of our world by using a voice chat system, called Sococo, and asked our users to complete three tasks by following our written and verbal instructions. By immersing our users into our environment, we could demonstrate how virtual worlds can be immersive and feel “life-like” with our use of artificial intelligence and personification of avatars.
Additionally, I also built the website that we used during our tour. I used Javascript, CSS, and HTML to flesh out all of the required details that we needed for our website so our classmates could use it to find the information that they required.
