Alexis Koss

Hi! I'm an undergraduate Informatics senior at the University of Washington in Seattle. My focus is on human computer interaction and I am currently looking for internships in the area of UX design to help further develop my skills in interaction design, prototyping, user experience, and/or user research.

I’m experienced with both designing and programming. I have experience using the Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, XD, and even a bit of Illustrator), prototyping, and wireframing my designs. I also have experience coding with HTML, CSS, Javascript, and React and using multiple frameworks such as Bootstrap and Material Design.

While I’m not studying, you can find me taking photos around Seattle or attending concerts. I’m an avid photographer and love to take photos of anything and everything so you’ll often find me lugging around a camera. I also love going to concerts and attend them whenever my favorite band or artist comes to Seattle.

I’m also the outreach coordinator for my sorority, Phi Sigma Rho (an engineering sorority), where I help teach K-5 children the science behind fun experiments and activities to help get them excited about engineering. I hold bi-weekly volunteering events at the Wallingford Boys and Girls Club and occasionally I lead bigger events at the Pacific Science Center for hundreds of kids!
